Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
The digital age presents us with wonderful opportunities to learn about God and His creation. It also presents challenges to children as they learn to use technology wisely.
Whether students are accessing information or entertainment, they need to learn to use these powerful tools with discernment. At OKCS, we teach students to use technology, and in doing so, teach that technology can be used for the glory of God.
K-5 students attend computer class once a week. During the year, they learn keyboarding, general computer readiness, and digital citizenship, with specific age-appropriate lessons. Keyboarding is taught using Keyboarding Without Tears. Click Here to view the program. Teachers may also bring their students to the computer lab at additional times to work on whole-class projects.
Please come in and take a look around Rm 602! Students love to show what they have been learning!
