Middle School
Middle School at Olive Knolls Christian School is a nurturing and challenging environment. Students apply the knowledge they have gained in K-5 and use it to critically think about themselves and the world around them.
Middle School students attend all regular academic subjects and have computer class, physical education, art, and study hall during the week. Please click on the picture for more information on these programs.
Elective classes include Chapel Band, Silent Praise/Sticks, and Choir. Click here to learn more about these programs.
Students are challenged to put their faith into action in the middle grades and reach the world around them. Each week our students use one class period to devote to serving others. We call this time ‘Reach Out’. Students can be helping a teacher or other staff person on campus, tutoring, helping in the library, or going to The Hope Center to help hang clothes and stock the food pantry.
Our middle schoolers are leaders and as such have led the student body in many projects including:
- Raising money to buy a goat farm in Haiti
- Collecting toiletries to make Bags and Prayers for the Rescue Mission
- Thanksgiving meals for The Hope Center
- Christmas Stockings for Children for The Hope Center
- Valentines for the Bakersfield Rescue Mission
Please refer to the classes in the pull down menu for more description of core classes.
